Welcome to the Humanities Initiative

Since April 2007, the Humanities Initiative has collaborated with other NYU institutes and schools on an annual Humanities Festival. So far, we have explored the relevance of the epic for the contemporary scene and the broad impact of global warming in partnership with the NY Institute for the Humanities at NYU. In 2011, we held an all-day symposium on memory, second thoughts, and the act of bearing witness, co-sponsored by The New York Institute for the Humanities.
